During a press conference on Thursday (September 4th), General Wiesław Kuikuła confirmed reports that Poland’s airspace had been breached. He elaborated that Polish forces experienced two incursions in the previous night, with no repercussions.
Use of F-35 Fighter Jet
He added that the Polish military had “engaged significant additional means to defend the sky,” with an F-35 fighter jet involved in the operation. Kuikuła described its use as a “game changer.”
Drones Depart Polish Territory
However, Kuikuła did not reveal many specific details about the incident. “We are still analyzing the operational data,” he said, emphasizing that such information should not be passed on to Russia. He did confirm that the drones had left Polish territory.
Prolonged Military Cooperation
In another development, General Wiesław Kuikuła discussed ongoing military cooperation with American counterparts, aiming to expand American military capabilities on Polish soil and switch to a partial permanent presence from rotational deployments.
