On Tuesday, January 20, TVN24 reported that Urszula Brzezińska-Hołownia is leaving the Polish Army. Reporter Artur Molęda unofficially learned that the decision was made for family reasons.

According to the journalist, Major Urszula Brzezińska-Hołownia has decided to abandon the military uniform and pilot’s suit of the MiG-29 aircraft to transition to civilian life. The soldier served in the 23rd Tactical Air Base in Mińsk Mazowiecki.

Farewell Ceremony

A farewell ceremony was planned for Brzezińska-Hołownia at her former base, where she was scheduled to make her last flight in the MiG-29 fighter jet.

Background of Urszula Brzezińska-Hołownia

Brzezińska-Hołownia is a graduate of a high school with a mathematics and physics profile. In 2013, she graduated from the Higher Air Force Officer School in Dęblin as a jet pilot.

Professionally, she is a MiG-29 fighter jet pilot and an officer of the Polish Air Force. She was the second woman in the Polish army to pilot this aircraft.

Personal Life

Former Marshal of the Sejm and leader of Poland 2050 Szymon Hołownia met her by chance in 2014 while filming for a television program. The couple married in January 2016 and has an 11-year age difference. They have two daughters together.
