Polish Average Wage Hits 9,562 PLN as Employee Market Cools Down

The Central Statistical Office (GUS) has presented the latest data regarding the average monthly gross salary in the national economy. In the first quarter of 2026, the average wage reached 9,562.88 PLN, representing a 6.7% increase compared to the same period in the previous year.

Enterprise Sector Salaries Approach 10,000 PLN

Data specifically focused on the enterprise sector in March 2026 reveals an even higher average of 9,652.19 PLN gross. This figure is 596.27 PLN higher than in March 2025, when the average stood at 9,055.92 PLN, reflecting a 6.6% year-on-year growth rate.

End of the Golden Era for Employees

While the rising salary figures suggest a booming economy, the labor market is undergoing a significant transition. Experts warn that the period of high employee leverage is ending, as the Polish labor market gradually shifts from an employee-driven model to an employer-driven one.
