Polish Border Guard Allowance to Increase by 17 zł

The allowance for protecting Poland’s borders will increase by 17 zł, with an additional adjustment bringing the total to 19 zł gross. This benefit will also extend to personnel assigned to protection duties on aircraft or those maintaining constant readiness for such duties.

The adjustment will be implemented with effect from January 1, 2026, providing enhanced compensation for border protection services.

Regulatory Background

The change appears in a draft amendment to the regulation of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration of October 28, 2025, concerning allowances for Border Guard officers.

The regulation, originally published in the Journal of Laws (Dz.U. poz. 1494), has now been modified to reflect the increased compensation for border protection services.

Public Consultation

The draft amendment has been submitted for public consultation, allowing stakeholders to provide input on the proposed changes to border guard compensation.
