Head of Interior Office Calls Report “Nonsense”

Paweł Graś posted on X that the MiG story is “complete nonsense” and that the issue has been under procedure for over a year, having been repeatedly discussed at the weekly security committee with a BBN representative.

Presidential Office Confirms No Awareness of Discussions

Marcin Przydacz, head of the Presidential Office for International Policy, said the president had not been briefed on the negotiations over transferring MiG‑29s, learning of the plans only through media reports.

He noted that such decisions must be consulted with the president, the commander‑in‑chief, early in the process, and that the presidential office closely monitors government and military statements on the matter.

General Staff Contexts Transfer Considerations

The General Staff posted on X that negotiations with Ukraine on the MiG‑29 transfer are ongoing. It explained that the jets are to be transferred because of scarce spare parts and limited modernization prospects within the Polish army.

The final decision has not yet been made. The donation is intended to support Ukraine under allied policy and to safeguard NATO’s eastern flank, with decommissioned MiG‑29s to be replaced by F‑16 and FA‑50 aircraft.
