Polish Government Eases Hiring Process for Foreign Workers

New regulation expedites work permits and visas for over 300 occupations with staffing shortages.

New Regulation Addresses Administrative Bottlenecks

A January 15th regulation by MRPiPS establishes a list of professions experiencing staffing shortages, designed to tackle administrative delays in provincial offices. The initiative prioritizes processing of work permits and visa applications to help employers meet their workforce needs.

Healthcare and Logistics Prioritized

The list includes over 300 occupations, with priority given to healthcare, care services, and professions related to transport and logistics. The Ministry of Labor also identified rare, overlooked, or highly specialized professions facing staffing challenges.

Specialized Professions Benefit from Changes

Employers seeking well diggers, solderers, welders, bridge operators, parachutists, hot air balloon pilots, and airship pilots will benefit from these hiring facilitations. Employers acknowledge they had anticipated a different selection of occupations on the list.
