Polish Government Forms Special Team to Lead Epstein Investigation

Minister of Justice Waldemar Żurek will head a new Polish team investigating local aspects of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

Announcement of the Special Team

During a Tuesday press conference, government spokesman Adam Szłapka announced that Minister of Justice Waldemar Żurek will chair the analytical team regarding Polish connections to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. The team will consist of prosecutors, special services officers, and police.

Minister of Justice stated he has been in talks with Minister Coordinator of Special Services Tomasz Siemoniak and Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration Marcin Kierwiński regarding the team’s coordination. The minister noted that the team’s composition has not yet been disclosed, explaining that such cases require confidentiality for effective investigation.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the formation of a special team to investigate possible Polish connections to the US pedophilia scandal. The politician did not rule out a possible investigation.

Polish Connections in Epstein’s Documents

Analysis of Epstein’s criminal case archives reveals numerous Polish connections, according to a Polish Radio correspondent in Washington. Poland appears in various contexts in the revealed documents, often involving Polish women who had contact with Epstein or his circle.

One Polish model exchanged correspondence with the financier for nearly two years and traveled to New York and his Caribbean island. Documents also contain correspondence between Epstein and Daniel Siad, who was responsible for finding potential models for him in Poland.

Specific Polish Individuals Mentioned

In one email from Kraków, Siad asked Epstein to send four thousand euros, writing: “I need to invite parents to lunches or cafes. I already have several girls waiting for me.” He informed Epstein about searching for models in Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary.

Another Polish thread involves two Poles who worked in Epstein’s circle. Janusz Banasiak managed Epstein’s residence in Palm Beach for years, while Adriana Mucińska served as one of his assistants. During FBI questioning, Banasiak claimed he was unaware of Epstein’s illegal activities, while Mucińska refused to testify.

Political Connections in Epstein’s Documents

The archives also contain political threads. One entry refers to a contact in Epstein’s phone identified as “Duda’s circle,” with whom the financier was supposed to meet in New York the day after the Polish president’s visit to the White House.

Epstein maintained close contact with MAGA ideologue Steve Bannon between 2018-2019, who was implementing political projects in Europe and spoke of Poland’s and Baltic states’ key importance. The US Department of Justice has only published part of the documents, which number over three million pages.
