Who is Łatwogang?
Łatwogang is the online alias of Piotr Garkowski, one of Poland’s most popular young influencers. He has been dubbed the “internet Jurek Owsiak,” referencing a well-known Polish philanthropist.
Garkowski stated he doesn’t mind misinformation about his identity, as it helps focus attention on the fundraising efforts for children.
Early Career and Challenges
Łatwogang began his career on TikTok in 2021, later expanding to YouTube. He became known for completing challenges and saying “Łatwo!” (Easy!).
One early challenge involved getting the word “gilbert” nominated for the Youth Word of the Year, which they successfully achieved despite “essa” ultimately winning.
High-Profile Stunts and Collaborations
The influencer undertook a bicycle journey from Poland to Morocco, fulfilling a promise to his followers after a photo of his foot received over 1.2 million likes on Instagram.
He collaborated with Ed Sheeran, who rode a tandem bicycle with Łatwogang around Wrocław’s Old Town Square. This led to the creation of a Polish version of Sheeran’s hit song, “Azizam.”
Record-Breaking Fundraising Livestream
A nine-day livestream fundraiser for the Cancer Fighters Foundation raised over 250 million złoty. The event featured numerous celebrity guests.
Several guests, including singer Katarzyna Nosowska and influencer Maffashion, shaved their heads in solidarity with children battling cancer.
