MEP Confronts Security at Public Meeting
Confederation MEP Tomasz Buczek reported being prevented from entering a meeting with Przemysław Czarnk in Kolbuszowa, despite it being advertised as open to all. He stated a security guard attempted to check his notes, which he refused to allow.
Buczek described attempting to enter the meeting after being denied access, and a video shows him pushing past security, stating he was attending a public event.
Minister Czarnk Addresses Disruption
Following the disruption, several voices of disapproval were heard as Buczek attempted to speak. Minister Czarnk intervened, stating the meeting was open to all and allowing Buczek to address the audience.
Czarnk thanked Buczek for attending and acknowledged his comments regarding potential difficulties with entry, and expressed interest in right-wing cooperation.
Buczek Raises Concerns Over Anti-Smog Regulations
During his address, Buczek raised concerns about a controversial anti-smog resolution passed by the Podkarpackie regional assembly. He announced an ongoing petition to repeal regulations restricting the use of solid fuels for heating.
Buczek invited Czarnk to engage in a substantive dialogue, emphasizing the need to “clear” relations within the right-wing political landscape.
PiS Focuses on Independent Victory
Przemysław Czarnek stated that the Law and Justice (PiS) party is focused on achieving an independent victory, similar to their successes in 2015 and 2019. He also acknowledged the need for peace and broader coalitions to amend the constitution.
Czarnk thanked the MEP for attending the open meeting and reiterated the desire for cooperation within the right wing.
