Polish President Nawrocki Affirms Alliance with U.S., Warns of Internal Threats

President Karol Nawrocki addressed the CPAC conference in Dallas, Texas, emphasizing shared values with the U.S. and warning against both external and internal threats to Christian civilization.

Nawrocki Highlights Poland-U.S. Alignment

President Nawrocki delivered remarks at the CPAC conference on Saturday, underscoring the unity of values between Poland and the United States. He stated that both nations are built on the principle of government serving the people, protecting freedom, and valuing tradition.

Nawrocki further emphasized a shared Christian civilization as a unifying factor, while also noting its vulnerability to threats from both outside and within.

Russia Accused of Corruption and Violence

President Nawrocki directly criticized Russia, characterizing it as representing “corruption and violence.” He accused the Russian regime of aggression, destruction, and a belief in the right to dominate others.

He dismissed claims that Russia defends traditional values, stating it is a “lie” and that Russia does not represent conservatism.

Shared Threats and the Importance of Choice

Nawrocki identified broader threats including destabilizing regimes and authoritarian powers seeking to reshape the world through control rather than freedom. He stressed the need to stand together against these challenges.

“Polska swego wyboru dokonała [Poland has made its choice],” Nawrocki declared, reaffirming Poland’s alliance with the United States, citing historical precedents dating back 250 years.

The Role of Family, Faith, and Identity

The Polish President warned against voices questioning patriotism, national borders, faith, and tradition, noting these sentiments are present in both America and Europe.

Nawrocki asserted that a nation without identity has no future, emphasizing the importance of strong families, communities, and a willingness to defend freedom.

Honoring Sacrifice and the Value of Alliances

Nawrocki commemorated the sacrifice of 66 Polish soldiers who lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan, highlighting that alliances are forged not only in conference rooms but also on battlefields.

He emphasized the shared commitment demonstrated through joint operations in Afghanistan and Iraq, describing the partnership as sometimes “written in blood.”

EU Reform Needed, Poland Remains Committed

Nawrocki acknowledged Poland’s 20+ years of EU membership but stated the Union “needs rapid repairs.” He expressed Poland’s desire to remain part of the EU and have its voice heard.

He criticized policies he believes weaken Europe, citing issues related to energy, migration, and centralization, as well as ideological projects that deviate from core Christian values.

Transatlantic Ideal and Poland’s Success Story

Nawrocki affirmed Poland’s commitment to a transatlantic ideal of strong nations that remember the source of their strength. He presented Poland as a success story of freedom, referencing its history of occupation, communist rule, and subsequent transformation.

No Meeting with Trump

Despite President Trump’s attendance at CPAC, a meeting between Trump and President Nawrocki did not take place, due to prior commitments of the U.S. President.
