Polish President Nawrocki at CPAC: US and Poland United by Shared Values

President Nawrocki addressed the CPAC conference in Dallas, Texas, emphasizing the common ideological foundations and enduring alliance between Poland and the United States.

Nawrocki Highlights Shared Values

President Nawrocki, during his two-day visit to the US, spoke at the CPAC conference in Dallas on Saturday, stressing the unity of values between Poland and the United States. He stated that both nations are built on the same idea: that government should serve the people, not rule them, and that freedom must be protected, not managed.

Nawrocki further emphasized the importance of tradition, arguing it provides a foundation for liberty. He described Poland and the US as sharing a common Christian civilization.

Russia as a Threat

Nawrocki characterized Russia as representing corruption and violence, contrasting it with the values of Poland and the United States. He accused the Russian regime of aggression, destruction, and a belief in its right to dominate others.

He dismissed claims that Russia defends traditional values as a “lie,” asserting that Russia does not represent conservatism but rather corruption and violence.

Defense of Freedom and Identity

The Polish President warned of threats to Christian civilization from both external and internal sources. He also spoke of other authoritarian regimes sowing destabilization and terror globally, seeking control rather than freedom.

Nawrocki stated that Poland has chosen to stand with the United States, as it has throughout history – during both World Wars, and after the September 11th attacks – not because it is convenient, but because it is right.

The Importance of Family and Tradition

Nawrocki noted the growing sentiment that patriotism should be a source of shame, that borders are unimportant, faith should be removed from public life, and tradition should be discarded. He stated that these sentiments are present in both America and Europe.

He argued that a nation without identity has no future, and expressed confidence that Poland and the United States will not allow this to happen, recognizing that freedom requires strong families, communities, and defenders.

Remembering Polish Sacrifice

Nawrocki acknowledged the contributions of Polish figures in American history, such as Tadeusz Kościuszko and Kazimierz Pułaski. He also honored the 66 Polish soldiers who lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He emphasized that alliances are forged not only in conference rooms but also on battlefields, through courage and sacrifice.

No Meeting with Trump

Despite President Trump’s usual attendance at CPAC, as he did last year, the White House announced that he had other commitments and would not meet with President Nawrocki during this visit.
