Polish President Karol Nawrocki will travel to the U.S. this Friday for meetings with Donald Trump and participation in the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
Nawrocki’s U.S. Visit Takes Shape
President Karol Nawrocki’s planned visit to the United States is finalizing details. According to Polsat News, the Polish head of state is scheduled to depart on Friday, with a key component of the trip being participation in a major American right-wing event and direct talks with U.S. President Donald Trump.
The visit will also include meetings of an economic and military nature, indicating a broader, strategic dimension.
CPAC as a Platform for Political Influence
The main focus of the visit will be Karol Nawrocki’s participation in the CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference), an annual congress of conservative circles in the United States. This event has long served as a platform for leading right-wing politicians, opinion leaders, and activists associated with the conservative movement. The Polish president’s participation in this forum signifies an attempt to strengthen relations with American political elites with a similar ideological profile.
Meeting with Trump Confirmed
Media reports indicate that a meeting between Karol Nawrocki and Donald Trump will also take place during the U.S. visit. Presidential Spokesman Rafał Leśkiewicz had previously announced the possibility of such a meeting, signaling that talks between the leaders were planned, though without revealing details. The meeting is now confirmed to occur during CPAC.
This meeting continues a series of intensive contacts between the two politicians in recent months. The relationship between Nawrocki and Trump has both symbolic and practical significance – particularly in the context of military, energy, and regional security cooperation.
F-35 Factory Visit and Military Cooperation
An important part of the visit will also be President Nawrocki’s visit to the facilities producing F-35 fighter jets. Poland is among the countries that have decided to purchase these modern aircraft, and their implementation program is a key element of the modernization of the armed forces.
The visit has both symbolic and practical significance, demonstrating Poland’s commitment to developing military cooperation with the United States and emphasizing the role of military technology in the country’s security strategy. In the context of the ongoing war in Ukraine and tensions on NATO’s eastern flank, this topic is particularly important.
Meeting with the Polish Diaspora in Texas
The visit plan also includes a meeting with the Polish diaspora in Texas. Contacts with the Polish diaspora in the U.S. have long been an important element of Warsaw’s foreign policy. Several million people of Polish origin live in the United States, and their political and social significance is noticeable, especially in the context of elections and bilateral relations.
Previous Meetings and Campaign Support
This will not be the first contact between the two leaders this year. Karol Nawrocki met with Donald Trump during the World Economic Forum in Davos in January, discussing the international situation, including the conflict in Ukraine and energy security issues.
Previously, in September of last year, Nawrocki visited the White House shortly after taking office, marking his first foreign visit as president. Talks then focused primarily on military cooperation and strategic relations between Poland and the United States.
It is worth recalling that the contacts between the two politicians also date back to the election campaign in Poland. In May of last year, Donald Trump gave Karol Nawrocki informal support, which was seen as an important political signal. A symbolic gesture was also the presentation of a photograph from a joint meeting, showing both politicians raising their thumbs.
