Polish Readers Doubt U.S. Security Guarantee

A recent poll of Polish readers reveals over 84% doubt the United States can guarantee Poland’s security, with results collected on April 13, 2026.

Poll: U.S. as Poland’s Security Guarantor

A recent survey gauged Polish readers’ opinions on the United States’ role as a security partner for Poland. The topic followed previous reporting on perceptions of the U.S. and sparked significant reader response.

Dominant Skepticism in Poll Results

The poll results clearly indicate that a majority of readers doubt the United States’ ability to guarantee Poland’s security. The response “definitely not” received the most votes, with 51.97% of participants selecting it. This was the only answer to exceed 50% of all responses.

“Rather not” came in second place with 32.43%. Other options received significantly fewer votes and did not approach the levels of the two most frequently chosen responses.

Positive Assessments Remain Minority View

Some respondents expressed a positive view of the U.S. role. 6.05% chose “definitely yes,” and 5.69% selected “rather yes.” Only 3.87% of participants indicated they “did not know.”

A total of 1653 votes were cast, and the results were compiled on April 13, 2026.

Skepticism Echoed in Reader Comments

Readers also expressed their opinions in the comments section accompanying the poll. Sceptical views also dominated the comments.
