Polish, Russian, Moldovan and Ukrainian Citizens Arrested Over 12‑Million‑zloty Property Extortion Plot

Five men of Polish, Russian, Moldovan and Ukrainian nationality were detained in Poland for attempting to coerce a developer into handing over a 12‑million‑zloty plot.

Arrested at Central Investigation Office

The Central Office of the Police Investigation Service apprehended five men aged between 33 and 70 in connection with the alleged extortion attempt.

Threats Targeting a Developer Over 12‑Million‑zloty Plot

Investigators determined that the accused tried to intimidate a developer operating in the real‑estate sector, demanding the transfer of a building lot valued at approximately 12 million zlotys.

Weapons Seized During Search

Police conducted searches at the suspects’ residences and recovered seven firearms, all of which have been secured for further detailed examination.

Judicial Response and Provisional Detention

The suspects were brought before the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office, where they faced charges of attempted extortion. Following the prosecutor’s request, the court imposed temporary detention as a preventive measure.
