Poland’s e-Tax Office has introduced new forms and functionalities designed to simplify tax procedures for individuals and businesses.
New Features in the e-Tax Office Simplify Taxpayer Procedures
New forms and functionalities have been launched in the e-Tax Office to streamline taxpayer interactions with the administration and minimize formalities. The changes apply to both individuals and entrepreneurs, aligning with the broader trend of transferring tax services online.
Key Forms Added: ORD-IN, WN-CFR, and INF-FO
The National Revenue Administration has expanded the e-Tax Office’s document catalog with three key forms: ORD-IN, WN-CFR, and INF-FO. Each form addresses specific taxpayer needs and is presented as an interactive wizard.
These new solutions guide users through the application process, highlighting required fields and reducing the risk of errors. This allows even those without prior tax experience to independently prepare and submit documents online, provided they have previously consented to e-Correspondence within the system.
ORD-IN: Requesting Individual Tax Interpretation
One of the most important documents now available is the ORD-IN application, which allows taxpayers to obtain an official interpretation of tax law in their specific case. The application is submitted to the Director of the National Tax Information, who issues a binding opinion on the matter.
This service is particularly valuable given the complexity of the tax system, protecting taxpayers from negative consequences resulting from misinterpreting regulations, provided they adhere to the received response. Both individuals and organizations can submit the application through their system account.
WN-CFR: Tax Residency Certificate for International Transactions
The second new document is the WN-CFR application, enabling taxpayers to obtain a tax residency certificate. This document confirms a taxpayer’s place of residence or domicile for tax purposes and is essential for international settlements.
Individuals residing in Poland, entrepreneurs, and other economic entities, as well as authorized representatives (including tax advisors and lawyers), can apply for the certificate. The residency certificate plays a crucial role in applying double taxation avoidance agreements, particularly for those working or conducting business abroad.
INF-FO: Declaration of Choice or Change of Tax Form
The third form is INF-FO, a declaration for choosing or changing a tax form. This solution is aimed at entrepreneurs operating as individuals, including those within partnerships.
The document simplifies the process of selecting a tax form or making changes, such as switching to a flat rate or linear tax. The form is accessible only through an individual’s account but can also be submitted by a general proxy.
“Tax Form” Functionality: Quick Access to Tax Information
A new feature, “Tax Form,” allows entrepreneurs to quickly view data stored in the National Revenue Administration’s databases. Users can check the tax form assigned to their business activity for the years 2025 and 2026.
Located in the “Your Data” section, this functionality provides not only a preview of the information but also direct access to the form for changing the tax form, eliminating the need to contact the office and reducing the risk of discrepancies.
e-Tax Office: 24/7 Online Access
The e-Tax Office remains the central tool for handling tax matters online, available 24/7 via web browser and mobile app.
Login is through login.gov.pl, allowing the use of a Trusted Profile, e-ID, electronic banking, or the mObywatel app. Alternatively, users can use their tax data. The system supports comprehensive case management, from filing declarations to receiving correspondence and obtaining certificates.
