Polish Trust Ranking Declines; Czarnek Re-emerges as Potential PM Candidate

A new IBRiS poll for Onet reveals falling trust ratings for leading Polish politicians, with Karol Nawrocki, Radosław Sikorski, and Donald Tusk all experiencing declines, while Przemysław Czarnek gains ground.

Nawrocki and Sikorski Lose Ground

Karol Nawrocki received 46.3% positive assessments (28.9% “definitely trust” and 17.4% “rather trust”), a decrease of 2.5 percentage points from February. 46.7% of respondents expressed negative opinions about the president (36.1% “definitely do not trust” and 10.6% “rather do not trust”).

Radosław Sikorski’s positive rating fell to 42.6% (22.6% “definitely trust”, 20% “rather trust”), a decrease of 4.1 percentage points month-over-month. 46.2% of those surveyed lack trust in the foreign minister (35.9% “definitely do not trust” and 10.3% “rather do not trust”).

As a result, both the president and the foreign minister have lost the advantage of positive assessments over negative ones that they held a month earlier.

Tusk, Czarzasty, and Kosiniak-Kamysz See Declines

Donald Tusk maintains third place with 41% trust (down 0.2 percentage points). Włodzimierz Czarzasty remains in fourth with 37% (down 4 percentage points), while Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz is fifth at 35.5% (down 4.2 percentage points).

Morawiecki Leads Opposition, Bosak Falls

Mateusz Morawiecki is the most trusted opposition leader with 34.1% (down 1.7 percentage points). In February, Krzysztof Bosak held the top spot in this category, now receiving 31.8% (down 4.4 percentage points).

Piotr Zgorzelski has 29% positive assessments (down 1.7 percentage points), with 29.7% of respondents stating they do not know him.

Zandberg Suffers Largest Drop, Czarnek Gains

Sławomir Mentzen also experiences a notable decline, with 27.7% trust (down 4.2 percentage points). Jarosław Kaczyński and Przemysław Czarnek both achieve 27.7% (Kaczyński down 1.7 percentage points). Czarnek, returning to the list as a potential PiS prime ministerial candidate, gains 2.2 percentage points compared to the last measurement in June 2025.

Krzysztof Gawkowski receives 27% (up 0.1 percentage point), while Grzegorz Braun obtains 26% (down 2.1 percentage points). Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, leader of Poland 2050, has 21% trust (up 1.1 percentage points).

Hołownia and Zandberg Close the Ranking

Adrian Zandberg and Szymon Hołownia close the ranking. Zandberg recorded the largest decline – 7.1 percentage points – and now enjoys 19.2% trust. Hołownia lost 3.2 percentage points, reaching 15.6%.

Methodology

The poll was conducted on March 20-21 using the CATI method (computer-assisted telephone interviewing) with a sample of 1100 adult Poles.
