Polska 2050 Elects New Board with Hołownia as Vice-Chairman

Polska 2050 completes National Board formation, naming Szymon Hołownia as vice-chairman on February 7.

New Board Members Elected

On Saturday evening (February 7), Polska 2050 announced on social media about the completion of forming the party’s National Board. By decision of the National Council, the vice-chairpersons became: Paulina Hennig-Kloska, Szymon Hołownia, Rafał Kasprzyk, and Sławomir Ćwik.

The leader of Polska 2050, Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, before the weekend, in an interview with PAP, announced she intends to recommend Hennig-Kloska and Kasprzyk for the board. “I of course recommended Paulina Hennig-Kloska with great respect for the support she received during the election. But also with deep conviction that she is a very good minister and an extremely important person for our party,” she said.

She also admitted that if Hołownia “maintains his willingness to join the board,” she will support his candidacy.

Earlier Board Appointments

Earlier, at the beginning of the week, part of the board was appointed by the new party chairperson, Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz. The first vice-chairperson became deputy Ewa Schaedler, the second was Zachodniopomorskie voivode Adam Rudawski.

Also in the board were the head of the parliamentary club Paweł Śliz and deputy Łukasz Osmalak, who retained his position as party treasurer. The general secretary remained Robert Sitnik.

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz Leads Polska 2050

On January 31, a repeated second round of elections for the chairperson of Polska 2050 took place. Activists chose between Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz and Paulina Hennig-Kłoska, who received the most votes in the first round on January 12. Ultimately, at the head of Polska 2050 will be the minister of funds and regional policy.

She received 350 votes, and her rival – 309. “Thank you for the trust of the people. I will lead us forward with vision and courage,” Pełczyńska-Nałęcz wrote on social media after her victory.
