The Pope stated he will continue to strongly oppose war, striving to promote peace, dialogue, and multilateral relations between nations to seek just solutions to problems.
Christian Message “Abused”
Pope Leo XIV believes the Christian message is being “abused.”
He stated he does not wish to engage in debate with the President, and does not believe the message of the Gospel should be misused as it is by some.
Role Not Political, Pope States
The Pope, originally from Chicago, emphasized he does not view his role as political.
He reiterated his commitment to opposing war and promoting peace, dialogue, and international cooperation to find equitable solutions.
“I will continue to loudly oppose war, striving to promote peace, dialogue and multilateral relations between states, to seek just solutions to problems,” he assured.
