The second round of Portugal’s presidential elections, held last Sunday with delays due to hurricanes and subsequent floods, featured Socialist candidate António José Seguro and populist-right-wing party leader André Ventura.
Seguro was elected as the sixth President of Portugal with record support of over 68% of votes (50.1% turnout), presented as a democratic bloc victory demonstrating state responsibility.
