Foreigners applying for Poland’s Blue Card in 2026 may face complications due to delayed salary announcements.
Delayed Salary Announcement
The Central Statistical Office (GUS) announcement regarding Blue Card specialist salaries was published on February 9, 2026. According to the announcement, the salary for specialists applying for the Blue Card in 2026 is 13,355.34 zł brutto, compared to 12,272.58 zł brutto in the previous year.
Legal Requirements for Blue Card Applications
If salaries were calculated based on last year’s announcement, foreigners could encounter problems. Article 127, point 3 of the Aliens Act explicitly states that one must refer to indicators from the previous year when determining salary requirements.
