On May 27, the Poznań Congress Center will host the eighth MOVE congress and the inaugural Dual Use Congress, bringing together leaders to discuss the future of transport, security, and industrial technology.
Converging Trends in Transport and Security
The upcoming MOVE congress and the premier Dual Use Congress will run in parallel, reflecting the growing intersection of transport, industrial production, and national security. Organizers highlight that modern supply chains and regulatory environments are increasingly dependent on both civil and defense-oriented technologies.
Jakub Faryś, President of the Polish Automotive Industry Association, notes that the automotive sector faces a pivotal moment. Balancing climate regulation with the need for global competitiveness and supply chain resilience has made the integration of dual-use technology a strategic necessity rather than an option.
Regulatory Challenges for the Automotive Sector
A central focus of the MOVE agenda is the debate on Clean Corporate Vehicles. Experts will examine whether European businesses are prepared for upcoming climate policy requirements and how these regulations will impact fleet management and leasing markets.
Additional discussions will address the decarbonization of transport fleets, the implementation of the Omnibus directive, and the influence of ESG reporting on supply chains. The program aims to bridge the gap between legislative goals and practical business operations.
Strengthening Local Industry and Dual-Use Capabilities
The Dual Use Congress, supported by the Polish Dual Use Chamber, aims to help companies navigate the formal barriers of entering the defense sector. Retired Brig. Gen. Dr. Adam Duda emphasizes that becoming a subcontractor is a logical starting point for many firms to build the experience and trust required for this market.
Ministerial representative Michał Jaros will deliver a keynote on dual-use technology as a new pillar of the economy, focusing on investment, innovation, and state security. The event will also feature practical guidance for startups and technology firms on how to enter the dual-use landscape.
Future Mobility and Resilient Infrastructure
The congresses will also highlight technological developments in autonomous systems and drones. Sessions will explore how these innovations are transforming logistics and security, alongside discussions on building resilient infrastructure that can support both public and private sector needs.
By organizing these events alongside industry shows like ITM Industry Europe and Modernlog, participants gain access to a broader ecosystem of stakeholders. The goal is to move beyond trend analysis to foster concrete dialogue among business, government, and the scientific community regarding Poland’s economic trajectory.
