President Karol Nawrocki filed a constitutional challenge against the budget law for allowing public debt to exceed 60% GDP and excluding certain state-guaranteed funds.
Constitutional Challenge to Debt Limit
The primary area in which the President challenged the budget law is the provision allowing public debt to exceed 60% of GDP, which he considers unconstitutional.
Exclusion of Certain Funds
In his application to the Constitutional Tribunal, Karol Nawrocki also objects to the exclusion from the definition of public debt of obligations guaranteed by the Treasury and managed by the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego.
