Under Article 130 §2 of the Polish Labor Code, if a statutory holiday lands on Saturday, employers must grant employees an alternative day off within the same settlement period. Prime Minister Tusk has applied this provision to public administration.

Government Administration Day Off

Government ministries, voivodeship offices, county starost offices, and other public administration units will be closed on Monday, November 10, 2025.

Four‑Day Weekend for Public Workers

Public‑sector employees will benefit from a four‑day weekend running from Saturday, November 8 to Tuesday, November 11, which includes National Independence Day.

Civil Status Office Exception in Warsaw

The only public office that will remain open is the Civil Status Office on 5 Andersa Street, providing death registration services from 08:00 to 16:00.
