Bill on Eliminating Barriers for Local Governments
The issue concerns a draft bill on eliminating barriers hindering the functioning of local government units, submitted in November last year for consultations and opinions by the Ministry of Interior and Administration (MSWiA).
MSWiA Response to Decentralization Proposals
As early as January, MSWiA representatives informed the local government side of the Government and Local Government Joint Commission (KWRiST) that some elements of the decentralization package, proposed by local leaders, have been criticized by the ministries.
