Polish prosecutors say a third suspect has been arrested in the theft of Donald Tusk’s family Lexus, which vanished from his Sopot home on the night of Sept. 9‑10 and was later recovered in Gdańsk.

Prime Minister’s Car Theft Case

On the night of September 9‑10, Donald Tusk’s family Lexus disappeared from his Sopot residence despite around‑the‑clock security by the State Protection Service. The vehicle was later found parked in Gdańsk and recovered by authorities.

In response, prosecutors arrested 41‑year‑old Łukasz W., who faces up to ten years in prison. He is charged with theft with breaking and entering and the use of false vehicle registration plates. He denied the accusations and exercised his right to refuse to give explanations, and is currently detained.

Another Person Arrested

Polish national Stefan N., aged 43, was also taken into custody by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Sopot. He was charged with theft with breaking and entering. To secure the integrity of the investigation, the prosecutor requested a temporary detention of three months.

The Sopot District Court granted this preventive measure. Prosecutors say the investigation remains active and further arrests are possible.
