Prosecutors are interrogating service officials as new material evidence emerges in the disappearance case of 19-year-old Iwona Wieczorek.
New Developments in the Case
The prosecutor’s office is interrogating additional individuals regarding the disappearance of Iwona Wieczorek. According to unofficial information from Onet, those being questioned include “service officials.” However, investigators are not revealing any details.
– I am not commenting on this matter – stated prosecutor Eryk Stasielak to the portal. Stasielak is the head of the Małopolski Division for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor’s Office in Kraków, which is currently handling this disappearance.
New Evidence Found
New evidence has also emerged in the Iwona Wieczorek case, discovered in the Tricity area. Prosecutor Stasielak revealed to Onet that this involves not testimony but “material evidence.” Investigators are now awaiting an expert opinion.
– This requires significant financial resources, but obtaining this opinion is absolutely necessary – said Stasielak.
Case Status
In January, the prosecutor’s office confirmed to the Tricity “Gazeta Wyborcza” that actions were being taken in the disappearance case of Iwona Wieczorek. However, at that time, Prosecutor Stasielak told the newspaper that investigators did not want to speak of a breakthrough at this stage.
– A breakthrough will occur when we identify the perpetrator and bring them to justice. I confirm, however, that we have new evidence in this case that we are currently examining. I assure you that the current proceedings are very important. I will not promise anyone that the case will end in success. We must wait for the results. I believe we will find the perpetrator – stated Stasielak.
