The Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Kozienice has launched an investigation into irregularities at the Jan Kochanowski Forest and Wood School Complex in Garbatka-Letnisko. The proceedings cover the period from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2024, concerning suspicion of misconduct by public officials.
Areas of Investigation
The case involves improper supervision of public fund expenditure, issues with purchases, salary payments, special allowances, and other benefits. There are also suspicions of irregularities in personnel and salary policies, as well as public procurement procedures, including purchases exceeding 130,000 złoty.

The investigation will examine financial, accounting, and employee documentation. The actions under consideration were indicated as potentially harmful to the school and public interest.

According to Prosecutor Aneta Góźdź, the notification was received on December 16, 2025, from the Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship. The investigation is ongoing with witness testimony being collected, but no charges have been filed at this time.

The proceedings are classified under Art. 231 § 1 of the Penal Code in conjunction with Art. 12 § 1. The act in question is punishable by up to 3 years of imprisonment.
