On November 17, 2025, prosecutors in Warsaw opened an inquiry into alleged terrorist acts of sabotage targeting railway Line 7 between Warsaw East and Dorohusk, said to be carried out by foreign intelligence.
Investigating Terrorist Sabotage
The Warsaw office of the National Prosecutor’s Office began the investigation today, seeking to determine whether sabotage of railway infrastructure was carried out on behalf of foreign intelligence against the Polish Republic.
Damage Dates and Locations
The alleged sabotage occurred between November 15 and 17 on Line 7, Warsaw East–Dorohusk. Damage was reported near the village of Mika in Garwolin County and around Gołąb in Puławy County, involving the use of explosives on the tracks.
Legal Basis
The inquiry is directed at crimes classified under Articles 130 §7, 174 §1 and 171 §1 of the Polish Penal Code, with the offender facing the possibility of life imprisonment.
Prosecutor Team Composition
The investigation will be carried out by a team comprising prosecutors from the Mazowiecki Local Department of Organized Crime and Corruption, as well as officers from the Internal Security Agency and the Central Bureau of Police Investigation.
