Prosecutor’s Office Shares New Information on Magdalena Majtyka’s Death: Autopsy Results Released

Actress Magdalena Majtyka, 41, was found dead March 6 near her crashed car in Poland, with autopsy results revealing no immediate cause of death.

Timeline of Events

Magdalena Majtyka left her home on ul. Iwaszkiewicza in Wrocław on the morning of March 4. Later that evening, all traces of her disappeared. On March 5, a crashed car was found under Biskupice Oławskie. The next day, police confirmed the vehicle belonged to the missing woman, but the actress was not in it. The woman’s body was found on March 6 around 4 PM near the vehicle.

Autopsy Results

On Monday, March 9, an autopsy of Magdalena Majtyka was performed. Damian Pownuk reported that experts did not find any injuries to the body that would explain the cause of death. Further toxicological and histopathological examinations will be necessary. The results of these tests will take about two months to obtain.

Police Statement

The Oława County Police Headquarters reported that on March 5 around 11 AM, officers received a notification about a vehicle found on a forest road under Biskupice Oławskie. It should be emphasized that at the time of the first intervention regarding the left vehicle, there were no indications that the discovered vehicle could be related to the disappearance or a crime, therefore the actions were carried out in accordance with the information available at that time.

Officers received a notification about Magdalena Majtyka’s disappearance on March 6 before 2 PM. When the Oława County Police Headquarters was informed that the actress being searched for by Wrocław police officers might be in the Biskupice Oławskie area, Oława police officers returned to the area where the crashed car was located and checked the nearby area. The volunteer fire brigade found the actress’s body. The body was found about 200 meters from the car.

Who Was Magdalena Majtyka?

Magdalena Majtyka was 41 years old. She was a theater and film actress as well as a choreographer. She appeared in productions such as “Pan Samochodzik i Templariusze” and “Kabaret śmierci”. She also played episodic roles in the series “Breslau”, “1670”, “Skazana” and “Na dobre i na złe”. She worked at the Polish Theater in Wrocław and was also associated with the Lelenfant school of performing arts.
