A recent poll of over 24,000 participants shows that 64 percent support Zbigniew Ziobro’s decision to move to the United States amid ongoing investigations into the Justice Fund.
Poll Results on Ziobro’s Departure
Zbigniew Ziobro remains a central figure in the investigation concerning the Justice Fund, with prosecutors alleging his involvement in an organized criminal group. Following the loss of international protection in Hungary, the former minister relocated to the United States.
We surveyed public opinion regarding this move, gathering 24,609 total votes as of May 28, 2026. A total of 15,862 participants, representing 64.46 percent, supported his decision. Conversely, 34.26 percent, or 8,432 individuals, opposed the move, while 1.28 percent expressed no opinion.
Parliamentary Oversight and Investigations
Włodzimierz Czarzasty has ordered an audit of the parliamentary offices belonging to Zbigniew Ziobro and Marcin Romanowski. The Speaker of the Sejm highlighted concerns regarding parliamentary salaries and the potential undisclosed employment of the former minister.
Simultaneously, reports indicate that Marcin Romanowski may be located within the European Union or the Schengen Area, with Polish authorities tracking potential sightings in Serbia and Croatia.
Legal Allegations and Ongoing Probes
The National Prosecutor’s Office has brought 26 charges against Ziobro related to his management of the Justice Fund. Investigators claim he led a criminal group and manipulated grant allocations. Ziobro maintains his innocence, framing the actions as politically motivated.
Marcin Romanowski faces 19 charges related to irregularities in contests managed by the Ministry of Justice. Both men previously held international protection in Hungary, but they left the country following the political transition to Péter Magyar’s TISZA party.
