Pyszne.pl Showcases Autonomous Delivery System with Bus and Robot Courier

During the European Economic Congress in Katowice, Pyszne.pl demonstrated a fully automated door-to-door delivery system featuring an autonomous bus and a humanoid robot.

Future of Door-to-Door Delivery Unveiled

Pyszne.pl presented a vision of future urban logistics: an autonomous bus arriving at a building, followed by a humanoid robot delivering a warm pizza. This demonstration wasn’t a science fiction scene, but a preview of potential delivery methods in the coming years.

Polish Tech Ecosystem Ready for Innovation

The showcase, held at the European Economic Congress in Katowice, highlighted the readiness of the Polish technology ecosystem to develop and implement groundbreaking solutions on a European scale.

Last-Mile Delivery Demand Soaring

According to the World Economic Forum, global demand for last-mile delivery is projected to increase by 78% by 2030, driven largely by the growth of q-commerce. This surge necessitates more deliveries in congested urban spaces, particularly during peak hours.

Nighttime Deliveries with Autonomous Solutions

A potential solution involves nighttime deliveries using quiet, autonomous systems. Pyszne.pl’s demonstration offered a glimpse into a future where this scenario could become commonplace within the next 10-15 years.

Automated Delivery Chain in Action

An electric, autonomous vehicle from Blees arrived at the entrance of the building, and a humanoid robot, Unitree G1, carrying a Pyszne.pl thermal backpack, exited. The robot entered the building and delivered a warm pizza, showcasing a fully automated delivery chain.

Pyszne.pl’s Mission: Convenient and Responsible Delivery

Arkadiusz Krupicz, co-founder and managing director of Pyszne.pl, stated the company’s mission is to provide everyday convenience, delivering almost anything that fits in a courier’s backpack within an hour. He emphasized the need to responsibly shape the delivery revolution, focusing on speed, quiet operation, sustainability, and intelligence.

Continued Innovation Strategy

The presentation at the EKG 2026 builds on Pyszne.pl’s consistent innovation strategy. The company previously tested semi-autonomous wheeled robots in Warsaw in 2023, drone deliveries over Lake Zegrzyńskie in 2024, and “psobot” walking robots capable of navigating stairs and curbs at last year’s Congress.

Adapting to Market Growth and Q-Commerce

Pyszne.pl, partnering with over 16,500 restaurants and 1,500 retail partners (including Carrefour and e-Kwiaty Wyjątkowy Prezent), is transforming into a quick commerce platform delivering “everything that fits in a backpack.” This growth is supported by its new owner, Prosus, a global technology giant investing heavily in artificial intelligence.

Human Role Evolves with Automation

Pyszne.pl stresses that the goal of automation is not to replace people, but to evolve their roles. Robots will support couriers, who will transition into fleet operators, overseeing machine operations and handling deliveries requiring empathy and human interaction.

Collaboration with the Polish Tech Ecosystem

The demonstration highlighted the strength of the Polish technology ecosystem and Pyszne.pl’s willingness to integrate with local innovators. Tomasz Pacan, CEO of Blees, noted that their autonomous bus is designed for future cities, aligning with a vision of sustainable, zero-emission urban logistics.

Robot as Brand Ambassador and Technology Showcase

Kamil Gawron, CEO of Delta Robots, added that the Unitree G1 humanoid robot is more than just a delivery machine; its human-like design and interactive capabilities make it an excellent brand ambassador, showcasing advanced robotics and automating repetitive tasks.

Vision for the Future of Logistics

Pyszne.pl envisions logistics in the next five years based on intelligent optimization, micro-hubs, and fleet electrification. Within 10-15 years, autonomous vehicles, drones, and robots could become standard complements to courier work, creating a quiet, green, and efficient urban delivery network.

A Dialogue on the Future of Cities

Pyszne.pl’s presentation at the European Economic Congress is an invitation to discuss the future of cities, demonstrating a vision, plan, and partnerships to create a reality where consumer convenience aligns with sustainable urban development.
