Michał Przedlacki honored for report on Polish fighters in Ukraine, as Radio ZET presents its annual journalism awards.
Main Award Winner
Michał Przedlacki received the Radio ZET Andrzej Woyciechowski Award for his report “We can only fight. The story of Janusz Szeremeta’s unit,” depicting the experiences of Polish fighters in Ukraine. “I had the great luck to find an exceptional story in the field photos,” Przedlacki said during Wednesday’s award ceremony.
Other Category Winners
Adam Mirek won in the “Internet Author” category as a science popularizer on social media. Aleksandra Hołownia from Dziennik Gazeta Prawna triumphed in the “Journalist for the Planet” category. Szymon Jadczak from Wirtualna Polska was recognized in the “Most Reachable Text” category for his report revealing the Ministry of Agriculture’s decision to sell private land to an investor, which shook the political scene in 2025.
Jury and Award Background
The jury for this year’s edition was chaired by Radio ZET’s news director Anna Augustyn. Other members included PAP editor-in-chief Wojciech Tumidalski, deputy editor-in-chief of Gazeta Wyborcza Roman Imielski, Pismo magazine editor-in-chief Urszula Kifer, and TVN24 editor-in-chief Michał Samul.
Award Details
The Radio ZET Andrzej Woyciechowski Award has been presented since 2005 to journalists who break stereotypes, go beyond conventional patterns, and look behind the scenes of reality. The main award winner receives a statuette and 50,000 złoty, while other category winners receive 30,000 złoty each.
