Radom police detained a man on Tuesday, April 28th, with over 200 kilograms of unstamped tobacco in his vehicle, potentially facing up to three years in prison.

Officers from the Economic Crime Department of the Radom City Police detained a man transporting over 200 kilograms of tobacco without Polish excise stamps within the city.

The seizure included approximately a dozen sacks containing a total of 209 kg of cut tobacco.

Financial Impact of the Smuggling

The estimated loss to the state treasury due to unpaid taxes is approximately 350,000 Polish złoty.

Legal Consequences for the Suspect

The 31-year-old Radom resident faces criminal and fiscal charges, with a potential sentence of up to three years imprisonment according to applicable laws.
