Last year’s expenditures on purchasing armaments, financed from the Fund for Supporting the Armed Forces, amounted to 51.4 billion zlotys, according to data published by the Bank of National Development, which manages the fund.
This made it possible to finance nearly 79% of planned expenditures.
Year-over-Year Growth
Compared to previous years, this represents significant progress: in 2023, the fund allocated 23.3 billion zlotys for purchasing armaments.
The following year saw an increase to nearly 30 billion zlotys.
Future Challenges
“They won’t lend, they won’t sell” – suggesting potential obstacles in future military financing.
