A large reed fire broke out in Wsola, Radom County, Poland, injuring two people, one of whom is a firefighter.
Large Reed Fire in Wsola
A significant fire erupted in a reed bed in the town of Wsola, Radom County. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene and encountered a rapidly spreading blaze.
The fire covered approximately 3 hectares of land, requiring the involvement of multiple fire crews to contain it.
Injuries Reported
Two individuals were injured during the firefighting operation, including a firefighter from the Volunteer Fire Department (OSP). One person sustained burns to a large portion of their body, while the other suffered burns to their hands.
Both injured individuals are conscious and are receiving medical assistance from emergency medical teams.
Fire Contained, Investigation Ongoing
Seven fire crews were involved in extinguishing the fire, which is now under control. Firefighters are currently working to completely extinguish the remaining embers.
Approximately 3 hectares of reed bed were destroyed by the fire. The cause and exact circumstances of the blaze are currently unknown and will be investigated once emergency services have completed their work on site.
