A 24‑year‑old man was approached by a stranger on the return trip from a nightclub, who asked for directions to the city centre. When the victim complied, he was suddenly attacked without warning. The assailant struck him repeatedly with fists on the face, forced fingers into his eyes, coerced a sexual act, then robbed all items he could find, and smashed his eyeglasses and hearing aids. Valuables taken amounted to more than 18,000 PLN.
The victim suffered numerous external and internal injuries. Doctors reported serious bodily harm that threatened his life.
Physical and Psychological Impact
The injuries sustained required medical attention, including treatments for severe trauma that could have long‑term health consequences. The victim also endured psychological trauma from the assault.
Legal Action and Arrest
Police swiftly detained the suspect, a 24‑year‑old, following the investigation. Charges include robbery, assault, causing serious bodily harm, another sexual act, concealment of documents, and destruction of property.
After the complaint, the Warsaw‑Praga‑South prosecutor requested provisional detention, which the court approved. The suspect is now in custody, with the prosecutor supervising the proceedings.
