Road Rage Causes Six-Vehicle Crash on S2 Highway

Six vehicles collided on the S2 highway near Warsaw on March 10 following a road rage incident between two Toyota drivers.

Initial Collision

On Tuesday, March 10 at 19:19 on the S2 route coming from the Wilanów side, before the exit onto Wał Miedzeszyński, a collision involving six vehicles occurred. According to findings at the scene, the unusual event was spread over three separate collisions involving three Toyotas, a Mercedes, a KIA, and a Skoda.

Chain Reaction

The series of events began with aggressive behavior between two drivers – a silver and a white Toyota. Both had previously been cutting each other off. The driver of the silver Toyota braked the white Toyota to a stop, got out in the middle of the road, and struck the windshield of the second car, damaging it. Seeing this, the driver of the white Toyota reversed and hit a black Toyota behind it, then moved forward, colliding with the rear of the silver Toyota.

Additional Collisions

Behind these vehicles, two more collisions occurred. A KIA hit the braking Mercedes, and then a Skoda drove into the rear of the KIA. A medical rescue team was dispatched for the Skoda passenger, who was taken care of by medics and transported to the hospital. Another person was examined at the scene.

Police Investigation

Three police crews, including an accident team, worked at the scene to establish the exact course of events and prepare documentation. One right lane was blocked in the area of the exit towards Puławy, but this did not cause major traffic disruptions. After completing procedures, police officers fined two of the three drivers involved in the first incident – the white Toyota driver for the collision and the silver Toyota driver for creating a traffic hazard.
