A 24-year-old woman died Wednesday afternoon near Nowa Karczma, Poland, after being struck by debris from a road roller accident.
Fatal Accident in Nowa Karczma
A tragic accident occurred on Wednesday, April 22nd, around 4:00 PM near road number 226, on the section between Nowa Karczma and Skrzydłówko in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. A police patrol was dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers determined that a 38-year-old man operating a road roller lost control of the vehicle while descending a slope.
Woman Struck by Fence
After losing control, the road roller operator first collided with a parked Volkswagen Passat, then with a booth and a metal fence, which subsequently struck a 24-year-old woman.
Resuscitation attempts were made on the injured woman at the scene, but she died despite receiving medical assistance.
Police Investigation Underway
Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident. Officers conducted a detailed examination of the accident site and prepared photographic documentation.
Police also created a sketch of the scene and interviewed witnesses. All actions were carried out under the supervision of the prosecutor.
