Robert Telus Summoned to PiS Headquarters Over CPK Land Sale

Former agriculture minister Robert Telus has been called to Warsaw to explain the 2023 sale of 160‑hectare Zabłotnia land to the DaWton company, a key step in the Central Communication Port project.

Summoned to PiS Headquarters

Former minister Robert Telus was called to the parliamentary offices of the Law and Justice party on Nowogrodzka Street in Warsaw. The summons, issued for Wednesday, 5 November at 11:00, demands his explanations regarding the sale of land earmarked for the Central Communication Port (CPK).

Who Will Decide on Telus?

The committee that will determine Telus’ future is chaired by Marshal of the Sejm Elżbieta Witek. Vice‑President Tobiasz Bocheński indicated that the outcome largely depends on Witek’s assessment.

Party and Legal Investigation Process

Telus will first be questioned by an internal disciplinary committee of PiS. After he submits his explanations, decisions will be taken by the committee. Reports suggest he may also meet with party leader Jarosław Kaczyński.

Details of the Zabłotnia Land Sale

In December 2023, the Ministry of Agriculture—then headed by Telus—approved the sale of 160 hectares in Zabłotnia, Masovian Province, to the DaWton company. This land is intended for a high‑speed railway line crucial to the CPK.

On the same day, the director of the National Centre for Rural Development, Henryk Smolarz, confirmed an agreement for the government to repurchase the property at its original purchase price.

Telus’ Statement on the Sale

In a statement, Telus said he had no knowledge of the sale of plot 87/1 in Zabłotnia. He added that his name does not appear on any related documents and that the matter never reached his office.

He further clarified that the land is not situated on the planned CPK route and that the sale contract and land register provisions allow the State to reacquire the property immediately, without loss to its interests.
