Romania Relays US Decision to Pull Soldiers From Europe

The US has decided to pull its troops from Europe, prompting Romania to inform NATO allies and confirm that about 1,000 American soldiers will remain in the country to deter threats.

Romania’s Ministry of National Defence said the United States will regroup its forces in Europe, including pulling American troops from the Mihail Kogalniceanu base on the eastern Black Sea coast.

Romania Notifies Allies of US Army Reallocation

Despite the withdrawal, Romey notes that roughly 1,000 U.S. soldiers will stay in the country to continue deterring threats and maintain American engagement in regional security.

Defence Ministry Issues Statement on X

The ministry posted a statement on its official X account, explaining the decision was expected because Romania keeps constant contact with its American strategic partner, and it has been a NATO member since 2004.
