Night Attack on Kyiv

Russian troops launched ballistic missiles and combat drones at Kyiv, some breaching the defensive perimeter and striking infrastructure and residential blocks. Debris ignited fires that fell on several housing buildings.

The attacks resulted in one fatality and 24 injuries, among them children and a pregnant woman. Damage was also reported to the heating network, potentially causing power and water shortages in parts of the city.

Ukrainian media allege that nearly all Kyiv districts were affected, with some areas experiencing prolonged outages of electricity and heat.

Ukrainian Drone Assault on Novorossiysk Port

According to the Pravda portal, Ukrainian forces attacked the oil infrastructure at Novorossiysk, a major Russian port on the Black Sea, using drones during the night of Thursday to Friday. Footage showed a wide‑spread blaze across the port zone.

The primary target was the Transneft cargo terminal, a key element of Russia’s energy infrastructure. Drone wreckage subsequently struck three residential apartments.

Frontline Situation in Donbas and Zaporizhzhia

Russia has intensified military activity in Donbas and Zaporizhzhia. Ukrainian General Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that Russian forces captured three towns in the Zaporizhzhia region while Ukrainian troops defended positions in Pokrovske, Oleksandriia, Roznopolia, and Iablukovo.

Ukrainian leadership stressed severe losses on the Russian side, citing 800 soldiers and over 100 vehicles destroyed within three days in the “South” operational area.

Ukraine is employing an active defense approach, repelling attacks and immediately counterattacking to eliminate displaced enemy groups.
