Russian strikes on the Dnipropetrovsk region have left 26 people injured, including children, while Ukraine responded with extensive drone attacks against targets within the Moscow region and Crimea.
Damage in the Dnipropetrovsk Region
Oleksandr Hanža reported that Sunday’s Russian attacks on the Dnipropetrovsk region damaged state and private buildings, vehicles, an agricultural enterprise, and a gas station. Fires broke out on the roof of a high-rise building and in a warehouse storing pyrotechnics.
The head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration confirmed several fires and stated that people were trapped in one of the houses, with rescue services providing assistance.
Civilian Casualties in Dnipro
Russian attacks caused injuries among the civilian population. Initially, three people were reported injured, but the number rose to nine, including a 10-year-old boy. Following further updates, the total number of wounded reached 26, including a two-year-old girl.
Ukraine Retaliates Against Moscow
Ukraine launched a series of attacks on oil facilities in the Moscow region and a military airfield in Belbek, Crimea. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) stated that the Angstrom plant, which produces semiconductors for Russia’s military-industrial complex and is subject to US sanctions, was among the targets.
The SBU emphasized that such special operations are crucial for weakening Russia’s military potential, warning that even the highly protected Moscow region is not safe.
Russian Official Reports on Drone Strikes
The Russian news agency TASS described the drone attack on Moscow as the largest in over a year. Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov reported that a woman died in Khimki and another person was trapped under rubble.
Two men were killed in the village of Pogorelki in Mytishchi when drone debris struck a house under construction. Furthermore, four people were injured in Istra, where drones damaged residential buildings, with similar incidents reported in Putilkovo.
