Poland’s Operational Command of the Armed Forces announced Saturday after 5 AM that due to Russian long-range aircraft strikes on Ukraine, military operations began in Polish airspace. Necessary forces and resources were activated, with air defense and radar systems placed on high alert.
These actions are preventive, aimed at securing and protecting airspace, particularly near threatened areas. The situation is being monitored, with forces ready for immediate response.
Flight Operations Suspended in Polish Cities
Polish Air Navigation Agency (PANSA) temporarily suspended flight operations in Rzeszow and Lublin to allow military aircraft free movement.
Ukraine Under Mass Aerial Attacks
Ukrainian Air Forces reported air alerts across Ukraine due to Russian missile and drone strikes. Explosions were heard in Vinnytsia, Rivne, and Burshtyn in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. Vinnytsia’s military administration reported a massive aerial attack.
Additional cruise missiles were targeted at Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Lviv Oblasts. Lviv’s military administration urged residents to stay in safe places. A large warehouse fire occurred in Yahotyn, Kyiv Oblast, due to a Russian attack.
