On Tuesday, February 10, around 1:00 PM local time (approximately 10:00 PM in Poland), police received a report of a shooting at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in western Canada. According to local police, six bodies were found in the high school, two more in a residential home, and one person died on the way to the hospital. Dozens of people were injured, two seriously. Among the fatalities was the attacker. Approximately 100 people were present at the school during the shooting. Police are investigating the sequence of events.

Tumbler Ridge is a town with nearly 2,500 residents, located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in northern British Columbia. It is situated more than 1,100 kilometers northeast of Vancouver. According to Canadian station BCB, this is the second deadliest school attack in Canadian history – after the Montreal massacre on December 6, 1989, which killed 14 people.
Prime Minister’s Response
