During Thursday’s hearing in Piotrków Trybunalski, Sebastian M.’s father said he would not give testimony, even though a witness provided a contrary account.
Father’s Testimony Decision
At the court session, Sebastian M.’s father informed the judge that he would be giving testimony, yet the Criminal Procedure Code allows a close relative to refuse.
Witness Account of the Collision
Witnesses described how, after the September 2023 crash on the A1 near Sierosław, Sebastian M. put on a reflective vest, crossed the energy barriers, and waited for the next developments while making phone calls to his father.

In October, the accused said, “I apologize to all victims and offer sincere condolences for the tragic loss in September,” but did not answer the judge’s questions about his guilt.
Fleeing and Return
Following the incident, Sebastian M. fled to Germany and later to the United Arab Emirates before being brought back to Poland in May.
