Event Overview

Warsaw is home to 18 bat species, many of which are observed along the Vistula River.

International Night of Bats Background

The International Night of Bats was initiated by the EUROBATS agreement and held annually during the last full weekend of August. This period is ideal for observing bats along the river, as weather conditions and the time of day enhance detection efforts with specialized equipment.
