“GW” reports that a classified note was sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs two days after Karol Nawrocki’s Washington visit following his meeting with Donald Trump.
Classified Note Contains Meeting Details
The note, sent via the SPIN-P system, allegedly revealed that Sławomir Cenckiewicz, the head of the National Security Bureau, attended the meeting between Donald Trump and the Polish President. Cenckiewicz, however, has been stripped of access to classified information and faces treason charges for leaking closely guarded military secrets.
Ongoing Dispute over Cenckiewicz’s Security Clearance
Cenckiewicz, according to “GW,” has no active security clearance and was stripped of it as punishment for lying on an application for clearance. He also faces prosecutorial charges for leaking military secrets, specifically in the case of the declassification of fragments of the “Warta” defense plan.
Meeting Details and Subsequent Tensions
On September 3rd, a meeting between Karol Nawrocki and Donald Trump took place in the White House Oval Office. Trump congratulated his Polish counterpart on his election victory and discussed the presence of US troops in Poland. Cenckiewicz was reported to remain in the United States to discuss the details of security solutions with the Pentagon, which are deemed beneficial to Poland.
