Vote Details

In the last session on November 7, 447 MPs voted, 231 forming a majority. Two hundred and fifty‑six MPs voted for lifting Ziobro’s immunity, 185 against, and six abstained.

Ziobro Currently in Hungary

MP PiS Zbigniew Ziobro is presently in Hungary and has not applied for asylum. He says he can freely comment on the “absurd” accusations by prosecutors, and that he would return to Poland if his health allowed, but refuses to disclose exact plans to Donald Tusk.

Prosecutor Demands Removal of Immunity

The National Prosecutor’s Office seeks to revoke Ziobro’s immunity, alleging that he led a criminal group, misused the Justice Fund for political and personal purposes, and failed to fulfil his duties. The office requests his temporary detention and arrest, citing 26 alleged crimes including abuse of power and document concealment.
