Former MEP Joanna Senyszyn blasted the election of Włodzimierz Czarzasty as Sejm marshal, calling him unsuitable, while praising former SLD politician Marek Siwiec as a suitable appointee for the marshal’s chief of staff.
Criticism of Czarzasty’s Appointment
Joanna Senyszyn sharply criticized the selection of Włodzimierz Czarzasty as marshal of the Sejm, arguing that he should never hold the position due to his small party base, undemocratic views, and lack of reliability. She pointed out that he promised not to alter the Secretariat during the coalition agreement, yet he did change it, and that he is known for breaking promises.
Siwiec Praised as a Suitable Choice
Senyszyn lauded former SLD MP Marek Siwiec, noting his background as head of BBN and ally of former President Bronisław Komorowski. She remarked that she had always worked closely with him in the European Parliament, describing him as open‑minded and well‑qualified to serve as head of the Sejm Secretariat.
Czarzasty Replaces Hołownia
Włodzimierz Czarzasty has officially taken over the marshal position from former marshal Szymon Hołownia.
