Two vehicles collided on Bemowo late Tuesday night, with one car transporting people driving into a retention tank.
Collision Details
At approximately 11:30 PM on Tuesday, a collision occurred at the intersection of Lazurowa and Obrońców Grodna streets in the Bemowo district. The incident involved two passenger cars, with one vehicle ending up in a retention tank.
Preliminary findings suggest that a foreigner driving a Lexus, possibly used for transporting people, was traveling from Żoliborz towards Stare Babice. Simultaneously, a Hyundai was moving along Lazurowa street from Górczewska towards Radiowa.
Incident Sequence
At the intersection, the Hyundai struck the Lexus on its side. The impact knocked the Lexus off its course, causing it to break through barriers, mount the pedestrian walkway, damage a sign and a mesh fence, and ultimately drive into a retention tank.
Injuries and Response
One person was examined by a medical rescue team but did not require hospitalization. During the emergency response, the intersection was completely blocked. Four medical rescue teams, two fire brigade units, and police were present at the scene.
Investigation
Police are determining the exact circumstances of the collision, including whether either driver entered the intersection on a red light.
